Modsy FAQs
About Modsy.com Popular Products and Services?
Modsy.com is known for its visualization engine that allows consumers to scan their rooms in 3D and work with online interior designers to virtually redesign their home. This technology was developed when the company was founded in 2015. In 2022, the team shifted away from providing online interior design services to focus on the core 3D technology related to the home. On August 30th, 2023, the remaining team and IP were acquired by Lennar, one of the nation's leading homebuilders and a longtime Modsy investor. This acquisition has allowed the next generation of 3D innovation for the home.
Modsy offers a completely virtual interior design service that helps bring your space to life with consultations, 3D renderings, and product recommendations. The service starts with a questionnaire about the space you'll be designing, your budget, and your personal style. You take pictures of the room from various angles and provide measurements. These images and data are then used to create an incredibly realistic image of your room. It takes roughly a week or so for your assigned interior designer to come up with a few different design options.
The service is affordable with prices starting at $159, making it a seriously affordable interior designer alternative. The Premium design package includes 3D images of one room, the ability to hear from a designer, and unlimited revisions. Modsy is one of the few companies to offer an interior design service under $200, which is extremely appealing for budget-conscious homeowners who want help making their home beautiful.

Modsy.com Return Policy?
Modsy.com, an online interior design service, had a return policy that allowed customers to return any item bought through the service within 30 days of delivery. The returned items must be in original condition, show no signs of wear, and have no damages, scratches, or soils. Custom orders could not be returned. Rugs could be returned, but a 15% restocking fee applied. However, it's important to note that Modsy.com quietly shut down in early July 2022. The company returned some service order charges and promised to refund furniture deliveries to those who completed a form. But many Modsy customers were still awaiting updates.
As for the shipping policy, Modsy did not offer free shipping. The service was only available in the 48 contiguous states. Delivery fees were subject to each individual brand. Modsy usually selected the least expensive delivery options available for the customers. All orders were shipped out from the original brand’s warehouse at their own unique rates. However, free shipping was offered on select qualifying orders over $50.
Please note that the information might have changed as Modsy's assets were acquired by a new entity, Pencil, LLC, in August 2023. The new entity was expected to take the business in a new direction. Customers were to be notified on next steps on how to address their needs.
